Hosted by Director-General of Investment Promotion, HKSAR, Mr. Stephen Phillips, “Africa in Hong Kong “ was held on 5 July
2021 in Invest HK office to celebrate the growing and diverse African
community in Hong Kong
The Chairman of the African General Chamber of Commerce
(Greater China), Mr. James Ng accompanied by several Vice-Chairmen
Mr. Sandy Cheng, Mr. Bernard Wong, Mr. Collin Chow as well as Mr. C. H. Cheng who also represented the Honorary Consulate of Tanzania, have
attended the captioned activity. And there-in, Mr. James Ng and
Committee members had face to face cultural exchange and drinks with
the host and many others Consuls and representatives from others African
Countries.
Chairman James Ng comment that this kind of activity was great
opportunity to get up-to-date information of the HK Government policies
assisting African Enterprises in HK and the current environment of the
other African Countries. James Ng added that, the Chamber will keep in
close contact with HK Government and other African Countries in order
to better assist our members with related business development.
Director-General of Investment Promotion, HKSAR, Mr. Stephen
Phillips declared that, as the relationship between China and African
Countries gets closer and closer in recent years, his department in HK
will try his best to assist foreign Enterprises especially those from African
Countries to conduct business activities, set up companies and related
necessities, not only in HK but as well as in the neighboring Greater Bay
Area. The Area provides abundant business opportunities much more than
ever before. HK is one of the ideal major hubs to serve the whole region.
